Initiated on occasion of the Russian annihilation war against Ukraine, this program featuring, supporting and encouraging Ukrainian video artists, started on 1 March 2022 in the framework of the Peace Letters to Ukraine Project @ The New Museum of Networked Art.
It is representing one way how art can serve as a tool to show and confirm solidarity with the Ukrainian people, and defend freedom – the freedom of the word, the freedom of expression, the freedom of movement – that kind of freedom which is representing the fertile soil for the arts – freedom through intercontinental networking by featuring, supporting and encouraging artists from countries endangered by war.
The program is including currently 30 Ukrainian video artists curated by the Ukrainian Yarina Butkovska und Wilfried Agricola de Cologne.
